PN 919

The PN 919 is a simple 35mm film compact camera with a unique feature of a switchable panorama mode. It is the ideal choice for those who want to try wide-angle composition without using a special panorama system.

In normal mode, the device uses the classic 24×36 mm aspect ratio, and in panorama mode it masks the top and bottom of the film to produce wide-angle shots of around 13×36 mm. It is important to note that this is not a digital panorama and is not a stitching of multiple images - the effect is created by mechanical masking on the film.

The wide-angle lens of around 28 mm is well suited to the panoramic ratio: for landscapes, urban scenes, travel or casual street photography, it provides a particularly enjoyable angle of view.

The PN 919 has a fixed focus system, making it extremely easy to use: no manual focus adjustment, so you can react quickly in spontaneous situations. Automatic exposure ensures that you get good results in the right lighting conditions.

The panorama mode uses a smaller negative area, so the detail of the image may be slightly lower than a normal 35mm frame - in exchange for a characterful, cinematic, widescreen effect.
