CINESTILL 800Tungsten Color Negative Film 120

The CINESTILL 800Tungsten is a unique colour film for still images. This colour negative film with ISO 800 sensitivity, balanced to tungsten colour temperature, is based on the same high-end motion picture technology used by the world's leading cinematographers. It is specifically designed for harsh, low-light tungsten environments, but can also be used in a wide range of lighting situations to achieve a variety of effects.

The new, improved manufacturing process extends the life of the 800T film and results in fewer visible defects after expiry. This advanced motion picture emulsion is optimized for hybrid workflow, ideal for scanning, and can be safely called up with standard C-41 photo lab chemicals or Cs41 home call kits. However, it can also be called with Cs2 chemistries for lower contrast negatives.

For C-41 calls, the film gives an excellent contrast curve for magnification on RA-4 paper. The film is treated as 800 ISO sensitive for C-41 calls and can be overdeveloped up to 3200 ISO.

  Recommended exposure range for overexposure

  • No overdraft: EI 200-1000

  • +1 stop overdraft: EI 800-2000

  • +2 stop overdraft: EI 1250-3200

  • +3 stop overexposure: EI 1600-3200 (increased contrast)

  When used in daylight, a filter of 85B is recommended and it is recommended to expose the film at 400-500 ISO.
