Medium-sensitivity colour negative film with increased colour saturation and slightly higher contrast.

Extremely fine grain: this is Kodak's finest grain colour negative film for the C-41 process (with a slight advantage over the Portra 160).
In terms of sharpness and resolution, the Ektar 100 is inferior to other films such as the Portra 160, Fujicolor 100, Fujicolor C200, Provia 100F, Velvia 50/100, or Ektachrome E100.

It has a significantly smaller exposure range than, for example, the Portra 160, so for optimum results, a precise exposure is recommended.
