Whether for film or paper, colour or black and white, this thermometer measures accurately and reliably.
It is specifically designed for use in darkrooms, with a narrow range of 50-120°F, which allows a more accurate distribution of the scale within this narrow range. This makes the large display easy to read under red darkroom light, and if you are developing a sheet film tray in total darkness, you will appreciate the illuminated indicator and 20 degree mark.
The thermometer is made of stainless steel, is maintenance-free, and if you drop it, the indicator may bounce, but it won't break like its glass counterparts. The included stainless steel clip-on cover ensures that the thermometer can be securely fixed to the edge of the tray and the scale remains in a horizontal position.
The 20 cm length allows you to easily measure the temperature of liquids in taller containers, such as measuring cups. However, the length makes it unsuitable for trays smaller than 18x24 cm.
