The FOMAPAN 400 is a high-sensitivity black and white negative film specifically designed for low-light and fast response situations. Its basic sensitivity of ISO 400 makes it ideal for indoor photography, evening street scenes and reportage work.
The grain of the film is more pronounced, which suits the more raw, documentary or cinematic tone of the images. Contrast is more pronounced, but also well controlled with proper development. Tones have character, giving images a distinctive analogue look.
The FOMAPAN 400 has good push performance, up to ISO 800-1600, giving you flexibility in varying lighting conditions. It is recommended for photographers who are not afraid of grain and consciously use it as a visual tool.
