The safest darkroom lamp in the world.
It provides direct illumination and is much brighter than conventional lamps.
It can be inserted in any (E14) socket and can therefore be used as a "replacement bulb" for conventional AP or Paterson darkroom lamps. In this case the red protective cap can be omitted.
Conventional darkroom bulbs can obscure photographic paper from a distance of 1.5 metres and directly illuminate it after about 3 minutes.
The new super-safe lamp could not measure a haze (significantly brighter than conventional lamps) even under 20 minutes of direct illumination (tested with Ilford and ADOX MCC papers).
Foma papers show slightly weaker results, but still superior to incandescent or AP/Paterson darkroom lamps.
